Clarification

In the July 14 article, “Community Church of Issaquah seeks to serve new congregation,” church leaders and parishioners are looking to transition the congregation to a new, multicultural Baptist congregation with a Pan-Asiatic influence, to serve the community’s growing Asian community. Part-time Rev. Woun Kim, who is affiliated with the Japanese Baptist Church in Seattle, is heading up the efforts to build the new congregation.

Golfing for kids event The Friends of Youth eighth annual Tee Off Fore Kids is July 26. The shotgun start to the golf tournament is at 10 a.m. at The Plateau Club, in Sammamish. Golfers can also compete in the longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin and the return of Pink Ball contests.
